PIANO LESSONS TO HELP YOU FLOURISH
I’m a friendly, professional Piano tutor in North Somerset, near Bristol.
Playing the piano is a great joy and pleasure. My aim is to pass on a love for the instrument, helping students to flourish as they develop technique, musicality and understanding.
Lessons are both focused and fun and take place in my home on a top quality piano. I welcome students of all ages and abilities and have an array of techniques to help each individual.
I tend to work primarily from the ABRSM Piano syllabus, however I also regularly cover skills such as improvisation and playing competently from chords. Students can choose whether to pursue exams or not, but I find that following the syllabus provides an excellent springboard to a whole world of musical possibilities.

My Story
WHAT SHAPES MY TEACHING ETHOS
“Playing the piano should be a pleasure, not a chore”
I grew up playing and performing music from an early age and music-making has been a big part of my life for over 20 years. After gaining my Diploma in Piano Performance (DipABRSM) in 2008, I went on to study music at University, where I gained a first class honours degree as well as the annual award for ‘Creative Practice in Music’.
I’ve got years’ worth of experience as a freelance musician playing concerts, gigs, theaters, weddings and high-end restaurants. I’ve also built up a rounded knowledge of teaching, having taught students of all ages from 5 to 65 (and probably over!) in both school, college, university, and private settings.
I believe that playing the piano should be a pleasure, not a chore, and that’s why I aim to make the learning experience rich, engaging and rewarding.
